​Asbestos Art Space is a space for art and culture in Helsinki's Vallila. The space is run by an artist-led group called the Asbestos Collective.

Asbestos Art Space acts as an open urban space, creating a platform for art, multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary activities as well as cultural events.

We want to break the traditional structures and commerciality of the art world by creating an inclusive, low-threshold urban space that matches our world of thought. The space also wants to enable the activities of visiting artists.

The collective and the operation of the space are politically independent. We adhere to the principles of a safe space, we do not accept racism, sexism or discrimination in our venue. We expect this from our members and visitors.
