“Time waits for no one” is a performance in which I hand-draw animation in the gallery space for a week. The initially empty gallery walls gradually begin to fill with images, each of which is almost identical to the previous one. Every day, the previous day's output also rotates as an animation on the computer

screen, making visible how slow animation using “traditional” methods really is.

Organizing an animation performance forces me to focus on making animation. Animation in its various forms often runs in the background of my artistic work, in my thoughts, but I rarely if ever have time to focus solely on it. By making the making itself an event, I am able to focus on just this one thing for a

week.

Visually, the animation depicts a rotating children's sun toy. Time passes and passes and never turns back. “Time waits for no one” is an invitation to seize the opportunity and make dreams come true in one way or another, because everyone only has a limited number of moments and time that waits for no one.
