Protection is often the result of conscious exploration and construction, but it can also be instinctive - protection absorbs unconsciously. While waiting for an emergency to end in a shelter, there is static, darkness, and isolation from the rest of the world. The vacuum in the shelter sucks in, and you can't get out on your own.

IN THE PROTECTION - The works in the exhibition are a collection of Miska Jounila's personal experiences of the nature of shelters, their survival, and the concrete protection precautions that have been communicated to her in the midst of darkness by light-filled scenes.
