Life is a wound rope tying us to our bodies. ”Bodiness” is an unseparatable part of our existence. ”Sphereness” is something abstract, heavenly bodies circling each other, thoughts spinning around crushes, halos sphering our brains. Life goes around, developes.
Spheres is group exhibition that consists of installations. Artists: Annakaisa Korhonen, Hessu Wennerstrand, Kati Silo and Jaakko Ristimäki
Insulation, 2022 Kati Silo
Structures, layers, gushing and decay
Breeze from behind and oblivion. A crow inching sideways on the roof. Needle in a haystack and line in the barn. Empty silence, insulating wool somewhere. Melted and solidified into another form. Ground underfoot. Crispy breaking. Gravel between teeth.
Insulation is an installation that consists of sculptures made out of textile and metal.
Pyysit kättäni, 2022 Hessu Wennerstrand
Pyysit kättäni ('You Asked for My Hand') continues my meditation on health. The work was born while I learned to make orthotics, which are body supporting or posture correcting prosthetics. This took place during my occupational therapy studies
Lifery, 2022 Jaakko Ristimäki
Lifery is a cage closing in the greatest mystery known for livings. Mystery chirps in it’s cage, they want out but they have no legs nor wings to escape with. They just wait for the cage to fall down to let them roll to their freedom. Mystery has no self awareness, they have no idea what would they do with their freedom. A mystery for themselves as well.
The piece is a poem sculpture consisting of materials such as willow, birch, cords, ceramics, sound, textiles and streamers.
