Mehusuu

Time is mouth watering

the home transformed into a shell

sticky dusty objects

traveled into boxes

as well as half-eaten fruit

their peels and good-for-nothing pits

a long time after

a thick juice had brewed

its language is coughing and soft

a whispering purr

Kaisla Pohjalainen studies painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Helsinki. Themes of fragility, preserving and the everyday are central to her work. In her new paintings she has been working with watercolor mainly.

Some paintings for the exhibition were made last autumn, during Pohjalainen’s exchange studies in Prague, Czechia.
