and wait for something to happen, something, that would get me to rise up and move

but i only slowly change until i’m not the same as before

and i rise without moving

and time flows without passing

and i no longer wait for anything to happen, nothing will touch me anymore anyway

i watch as the grass grows

and grow as the grass myself

Aino Suikkanen is a Helsinki-based artist who works primarily with oil painting. In her work she explores feelings and states of mind that reveal themselves through indoor and outdoor spaces and human-like figures.

Suikkanen graduated as a painter from Free Art School in 2025. She is currently studying in the Bachelor of Fine Arts programme at the Academy of Fine Arts Helsinki.
