As there are no blinds, the window has to be covered by pressing the edges of a towel into the gap between the frame and the wall.

The towel is old, there’s a hole in the middle.

A sun ray shines arrogantly through the hole, reaching the innocent sleeper's delicate eyelid through the gap of the displaced sleeping mask.

A tulip on the table opens shamelessly, revealing its genitals.

Remnants of a dead man have to be removed from the apartment by one way or another. They have to be flushed out through the pipes, or taken out in small plastic bags little by little. There is an unspoken rule considering the common garbage bin: you shouldn’t overload it too much at once.

While having pineapple long drinks we come to the conclusion that our fathers have betrayed us. We decide to send them ukko.fi invoices as bitter revenge.

As winter arrives it becomes clear that the ones paying the bills are going to be us.

The Seed Mix exhibition is built around the theme of the seed. The inspiration for the exhibition came when I realized that a large part of the things around me, such as furniture, textiles, paper, cardboard and food, come from a seed. The seed associates with the ideas of apotential for new life, growth and multiplication. In my exhibition, it also represents the idea of procreation and its consequences, the seed of an absent father from which I was born. Seed Mix is a material study of the cultural burden of fatherhood, but also a hopeful wish for the potential of blossom.
