Aamu Aurora Pulkkinen: Passion's fruits

The exhibition explores feelings, emotionlessness and corporeality. It consists of video works which are inspired by music, light and the body. In the opening 1.3. also live music is performed by Aamu Pulkkinen (singing), Tähti Oksanen (cello) and Natalia Kabanen (piano).

Can a human being exist beyond feelings or is it a feeling too? Early music as renessance or baroque music is supposed to raise affects in the listener. Often it expresses strong feelings or thoughts. On the other hand, music can calm the raging stream of emotions and thoughts - it has a double effect.

The video art pieces of the exhibition discuss with different feelings, emotionlessness and meditative space beyond emotions.

Aamu Aurora Pulkkinen lives and works in Helsinki. She is a classical singer, musician and a visual artist. She also studies literature and baroque singing and she likes to dance.
