WNB Rorschach Vol.2 Painting at Asbestos Art Space

The starting point of the Wnb Rorsrchach vol.2 exhibition is the idea of a dialogue between control and randomness. What is it to do art through management and control in relation to the randomness of the free flow of painting? The works deal with the meaning and formation of precisely that randomness and the subconscious in the context of conscious doing. A certain kind of starting point is the Rorschach ink tests.
The paintings are made with mixed media, mainly Acrylic paints. Expressive works are something of an abstract and representational interface.
Krista Blomqvist (b.1986) is studying visual arts education at Aalto University and graduated from Hyvinkää School of Art in 2010.
