Jani Luoma's graphics are based on the artist's fascination with form and contrast. The seafood theme originated as early as a few years ago when Jani first photographed oysters. He liked the shape of the oysters, but the photos and subject were left there at the time.
Interest in oysters returned again last winter after Jan ate a bad oyster. After a nice bile-filled night, the oyster remained spinning in his mind. With the oysters came an interest in other seafood as well.
The works combine contrast, harmony of forms and abstraction.
