Work Work is a collectively made, experienced and marveled project. It asks questions about working together and about significance and productivity of work. The installation constitutes of sauna, video, recorded discussions and sound scape. From scraps and recycled components built sauna has its origins in impulse to build something with our own hands, without really knowing how. Our working methodology could be assimilated with children’s way of building a hut; the enthusiasm and charm of self-making exceed the deficiency and doubts of know-how. More important is the activity where you can immerse yourself.
Behind this interdisciplinary installation operates dance artists Sanni Giordani, Iiro Näkki, Elisa Tuovila and Oskari Turpeinen, media artist Kasperi Mäki-Reinikka and musician Ben Rogers. Working together, negotiating, ideas and errors have brought our collective joy and inspiration, and after many many many nails Work Work gets to be viewed by others in Asbestos Art Space.
