Tired and warm animal is a video installation that uses the human need of being accepted and seen as its premise. The social interactions of the narrator of the video work turn into the sheer panic of a pray animal. Being a part of a community is not simple or easily accessible, even if it is the basic need and want of so many animals. In the end, we all want to be loved, but the burden of being a human can make it more difficult.

Edna Huotari is an artist and a researcher, whose work focuses on social categories and their conception. She is particularly interested in social concepts like coolness, psychiatric diagnoses, sin and evil, and uncovering the historical and political webs of meaning surrounding them. She works mainly with moving image and text. Huotari is also a doctoral researcher in a project studying medical knowledge construction and its history.
